Flying Dutchman

Type: Ambree
Arômes:  Miel, orange

Cask; Seasonal – Spring. Originally a Special for the April 2009 JD Wetherspoon beer festival. Scheduled to reappear as a Spring seasonal from March to May 2010.
Brewed by Henk Oexman (Heineken) from the Netherlands.
After 30 years’ brewing lager and working on research and innovation at the Heineken Brewery, Henk has come over to brew his first cask ale at the Caledonian Brewery, Edinburgh, especially for this JDW beer festival. This light pale bitter has a refreshing character, enhanced by the addition of coriander and orange peel, adding a spicy bite. The lightness of the body and bitter hop flavour is perfectly offset by the smoothness of the malt and sweetness from the inclusion of liquorice, making this the most refreshing of beer styles.
Hops used: Fuggles, Northdown

Note personelle: Une bien bonne Ale, avec de l’amertume bien comme il faut, pas trop. Une bière pour l’apéro!
